Award-winning composer and producer Danny McIntyre has carved a successful career blending his passion for storytelling with his musical expertise. As an associate professor at Berklee College of Music, he shares his knowledge while continuing to create music for television, video games, and even space exploration.
His work, often featuring his deep fascination with modular synthesis, has garnered a Hollywood Music in Media Award (for the PlayStation VR game "Farpoint," co-composed with Steve Cox), a Webby Award, and a SESAC Network Television Award. He also scored the historic first all-commercial SpaceX crew launch. His music regularly airs on CBS Sports, Discovery Channel, and numerous international cable networks.
Dr. McIntyre holds a PhD in Music Composition from the University of Hawaii, a Master's in Composition from Boston University, and dual Bachelor's degrees from Berklee College of Music in Film Scoring and Composition. His book, "The Craft of Contemporary Commercial Music" (co-authored with Greg McCandless), will be published in its second edition in 2025.
When he isn’t creating music, patching synthesizers, or teaching classes, he can be found playing with his two amazing sons and beautiful wife in the Boston area.
